Chicken Parmesan
I made this dish on my mom’s birthday, and as shown, I plated it perfectly! Anyways, chicken Parmesan may not be authentic but it is definitely a great way to surprise a loved one!
Ingredients:
-3 Chicken Breast
-2 Eggs
-3 pieces of sliced mozzarella
- 2 ½ cups of marinara sauce
- Cooked Pasta ( I used Penne)
-2 cups of Italian Style breadcrumbs
-1 cup of Parmesan Cheese
-Garlic Powder
-Salt
-Pepper
-Dried oregano
-Fresh basil ( to garnish)
Steps:
Step #1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. On a plate combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
Step #2: In a bowl, mix together the eggs and spices from earlier. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture then into the breadcrumb mixture. Move the chicken on to a greased baking pan.
Step #3: Bake the chicken for about 15 minutes then take it out, put a slice of Mozzarella, then put it back in for the last 15-20 minutes. It depends on the thickness of the chicken.
Step #4: Once chicken has reached an internal temperature of 160, place it on top of a bed of pasta. Then add Marinara sauce and more cheese! Thinly slice some fresh basil and add it to the top. Enjoy!💙
